The Mujer con la Falda Bien Puesta award recognizes an outstanding Hispanic Woman who has distinguished herself through her professional accomplishments and/or community involvement. Orgullosa exists to fuel Latinas as they seize their limitless potential through the transformative power of community. Orgullosa is for women that don’t follow a set path and open a door to new possibilities every day. It is a place to inspire and be inspired as they continually redefine themselves. An Orgullosa woman is proud to be a woman and to be a Latina. She is a woman who is proud of her accomplishments and achievements. An Orgullosa woman reflects pride that gives her the strength to walk with LA FALDA BIEN PUESTA.

I am honored to have received the 2013 Mujer con la Falda Bien Puesta award. We are now in the search for the 2015 Recipient of this prestigious award and need your help to find this qualified candidate. Below please find more details on what you can do to nominate a Mujer con la Falda Bien Puesta!

Submit your “2015” nominations today! In order to make a nomination, we ask that you complete and submit the enclosed form (or submit online). Submit up to 3 nominations, but please use a separate form for each nomination. It is important that you include your nominee’s complete name, address, phone number and email address. Nominees submitted should be Hispanic Women who are LULAC members in good standing, under the age of 45, and who have made significant contributions to the quality of life in the United States of America or in their local community during the past year. The nominee must be planning to attend the 2015 national convention in order to qualify

Nominations must be submitted to: Sindy Benavides via online at lulac.org/mujernomination or mail at LULAC, ATTN: Sindy M. Benavides, 1133 19th Street NW Suite 1000, Washington, DC 20036. All nominations must be submitted by 11:59 p.m. EST on Friday, July 3rd in order to be considered. Nominations received after the deadline will not be accepted. Those who are selected will be honored at the 2015 LULAC National Convention and Exposition in Salt Lake City during the Women’s Hall of Fame Luncheon on Friday July 10th from noon to 2pm.
