Puerto Rico LULAC members celebrate outstanding success of first ever Latinos Living Health event in the Nation

During an inspirational awards ceremony last night, LULAC Puerto Rico members celebrated the outstanding success of the Latinos Living Healthy Feria Familiar held in San Juan, Puert Rico on October 22.

The first event of its kind in the nation, the Latinos Living Healthy Feria Familiar drew 12,000 people for a day long event featuring healthy food, physical activity, music and free health screenings.

LULAC National President Margaret Moran issued certificates of recognition to the Puerto Rico volunteers who worked so hard to make the event such a big success.

LULAC Executive Director Brent Wilkes and LNESC Executive Director Richard Roybal presented the Puerto Rico LULAC teams with the recognitions in a moving ceremony at the Museo de Arte de San Juan along with State Director Ivonne Quinones Lanzo, Past State Director Haydee Rivera, Special Assistant Elsie Valdes and Puerto Rico Secretary of Sports and Recreation Henry Newman.
