ALBUQUERQUE, NEW MEXICO – (July 20, 2023) - The League of United Latin America Citizens (LULAC), the nation’s longest-standing and largest civic rights organization, announced today the agenda for its 94th Annual National Convention and Exposition set to take place in Albuquerque, New Mexico, August 2 - August 5, 2023 at the Albuquerque Convention Center. This year’s theme, “Saber es Poder,” will focus on the power of knowledge and the importance of community, and unity to pursue and attain social and economic justice for the country’s booming U.S. Hispanic community.
The convention will officially open to the public on Wednesday, August 2 at 9:00 am headlined by LULAC leaders and featured speakers including New Mexico Attorney General Raúl Torrez and Albuquerque Mayor Tim Keller.
“New Mexico represents the future of our country as the first minority-majority state, with nearly 100% percent Hispanic representation in the state legislature and an increasingly younger population. This is the ideal place to host the 2023 LULAC Convention and Expo. We are honored to welcome our speakers and members as we discuss pressing issues, set forth the Hispanic agenda for the next year, and elect the organization’s national leaders,” said LULAC President Domingo Garcia.
