Protect Funding for SNAP and Other Anti-Hunger Programs
Urge Congress to Move Quickly and Pass the FARM Bill
Since November 2013, Latino families have felt the consequences of Congress’ failure to authorize comprehensive legislation that addresses the need for national anti-hunger programs through the FARM bill. The legislation would have included the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, also known as SNAP, the nation’s most impactful safety net program which provides assistance to over 47 million Americans which includes millions of low-income children, seniors, veterans and Americans struggling to find work. News sources are reporting that a "deal" has been reached by House and Senate negotiators on a FARM bill and Congress could vote on it this week. Contact Congress now to protect SNAP!
