Stand with Lidia!

We Are All Lidia

lidia Martinez texas lulac voter intimidation

Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton committed an unprecedented act by targeting Lidia, an 87-year-old grandmother. On August 20th, at 6:00 a.m., Lydia was held at gunpoint and interrogated solely for her years of helping seniors and veterans register to vote. This move by Texas is a clear attempt to silence Latino voices, but we will not stand for it.

We cannot allow this attack on Lidia to go unchallenged. We urge you to take immediate action. If they are threatened by Lidia's efforts to help hundreds register to vote, it is our duty to mobilize thousands to register in honor of Lidia’s dedication and hard work.

Join LULAC in standing with Lidia today; add your name to her national petition and let's show everyone the power of our community!

Stand Up With Lidia

Demand DOJ Investigation

As a community we need the Department of Justice to investigate the raid on Lidia. This raid is in direct violation of the Voter Rights Act and we urge the DOJ to hold Texas accountable.

Organizational Sign-On

These raids were not just an attack on LULAC, but they were meant to send a message to all minority voters. We call on all like minded organizations to join us in calling for an investigation.

Lidia's home was raided simply because she educates people to register to vote. If they fear Lidia for the hundreds of people she has helped register to vote, we will take action to register thousands to vote!
