Jesse Garcia

Jesse Garcia is originally from the border, born and raised in Brownsville, Texas. He was educated in San Antonio, earning a bachelor’s degree in communication arts from Our Lady of the Lake University and a master’s degree also in communications from St. Mary’s University. For the last 25 years, Garcia has worked in public affairs for the federal government. In 2011, he moved to Washington DC to serve in the Obama Administration. He has been a resident of the District of Columbia since 2013 and currently serves as the DC state director of the League of United Latin American Citizens, the oldest and largest Hispanic civil rights organization. He has spent 20 years working in both LGBTQ and Latinx spaces to promote equality and hosts a podcast dedicated to spotlighting those two cultures at JesseGarciaShow.com. Garcia also serves as the National LULAC LGBTQ Affairs Committee Chair.
