Ride to Vote: Helping More People Get to the Polls on Election Day

This year, no matter how you choose to cast your vote, access to transportation should not be a barrier. LULAC is once again partnering with ridesharing service Lyft to get our community members out to the polls during early voting and on Election Day. But in the 2020 presidential election, more than 12.8 million registered voters did not vote citing transportation problems, inconvenient polling places or concerns about the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. COVID-19 added complexities to exercising the right to vote — whether you vote by mail, drop your ballot at a collection site, or vote in person. LULAC and Lyft are helping you get to the polls on Election Day!
