Description
The Freedom Walks are part of a movement inspired by the Freedom Riders. The purpose of the walks is to amplify Latino voices across the Rio Grande Valley, and the country, to promote greater civic engagement through voting. At each stop, LULAC members will walk as a group for one mile in solidarity with one message: We walk, Mobilize, and Vote. At each of the 15 cities, LULAC will have resources available to assist community members with voter registration.
WHAT:
LULAC launches a campaign of unity walks in 15 cities, including Washington, D.C, across eight states, to help community members register to vote in the Rio Grande Valley
