Description

There are many obstacles that prevent Hispanic communities from being able to build their savings and achieve their financial goals. Learning to budget, student loan debt, predatory lending practices and poor or insufficient credit history are just some of the major barriers that prevent the community from reaching financial stability.

Many Hispanics were not taught how to properly plan for retirement or provide guidance on making financial investments. The Hispanic community often does not have access to financial literacy materials, therefore do not have the resources or necessary tools to manage finances and build their savings. As a result, many Hispanics struggle with building and maintaining good credit scores. LULAC wants to address the financial literacy gap among the Hispanic
