Join us Friday, November 13, 2020, as Green Card Veterans’ Council President Carlos Luna and Deported & Repatriated Veterans Miguel Perez, Jr. & Hector Barajas will join the Honorable Senator Tammy Duckworth for a panel discussion on the topic of Deported Veterans.

The discussion will give an understanding of how this is possible under current laws, what the experience of veterans going through deportation and repatriation have been, and how we move forward under the current political climate.

Other panelists include Dr. Alfredo Gonzalez, PHD, Chicano & Chicana Studies, Marine Corps Veteran and Immigration and Veteran activist, currently serving in the US Army, Yesenia Mata. Our moderator will be Leora Hudak, MA, LCSW, whose work focuses on secondary trauma support and resilience-building for front-line workers along the US-Mexico border, and the development of service delivery models for migrant populations in the border region.
