Nayeli Tirado Vega

Nayeli Tirado Vega is currently a Research and Policy Fellow at LULAC’s National Office located in Washington, DC. She was raised in Ventura County, California and recently graduated from the University of California, Berkeley with a Bachelor's Degree in Political Science and Minor in Creative Writing. In the last few months, she was a teaching assistant for Dan Schnur’s course PS 106A: Campaign Media and Strategy and was the Professional Development Director for the Latine Pre-Law Society (a student-run organization) at UC Berkeley. Additionally, she was an intern for the International Rescue Committee's immigration team in Oakland, California. She hopes to attend law school with aspirations of becoming an immigration lawyer. More specifically, her career interests are situated at the intersection of advocacy and law. After her internship, she will work as a Paralegal for an immigration law firm in Oakland before applying to law school.
