Angela Moon serves as a Research and Policy Intern at LULAC’s National Office in Washington, DC. She was born and has lived in Miami, Florida. She graduated from Florida State University with a Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Medical Sciences and a minor in Psychology and Emergency Management.

She is currently in her last semester at George Washington University where she is completing a Master’s in Public Health with a Global Health Policy Concentration. During COVID-19, she interned with Miami-Dade County where she helped in the creation of a New-Normal Handbook that outlined the rules that the county was to follow in response to the pandemic. She was an intern at a lobbying firm in Florida for four state sessions, where she reviewed and followed legislation pertaining to healthcare and the needs of patients and physicians. Before starting at George Washington University she was a clinical assistant at the Department of Urology at the University of Miami where she was a liaison between the patients and the physicians. She helped to coordinate care for international patients and assisted in implementing their treatment plans. She is passionate about healthcare reform, access to care, climate and health gentrification, and disaster preparedness and response for disadvantaged populations.
