Marcos Montoya Andrade

Marcos Montoya Andrade is a current Research and Policy Fellow at the League of United Latin American Citizens. Originally from Guatemala, Marcos immigrated to Northern Virginia when he was six and developed a profound passion for the legal field and immigration studies. Now a rising senior at Brown University double concentrating in Economics and Public Policy, he hopes to attend law school and become a lawyer of change. Marcos has previously interned with the Rhode Island Center for Justice where he delved into housing and tenant law. He is the Vice President of the Brown Consulting Club and the Brown QuestBridge Chapter and a research assistant for Professor Kevin Escudero’s Immigrant Student Research Lab. Most importantly, Marcos is thrilled to join LULAC’s national team, where he aims to deepen his understanding of applied policy and address pressing issues within the Latino community.
