Kamila García Zamora is serving as a Research and Policy Fellow at LULAC’s Washington, D.C. office in the fall of 2025. Originally from Tijuana, Mexico, she is pursuing a degree in Mechatronics Engineering at CETYS Universidad and brings experience in aerospace innovation and social impact projects. She has represented Mexico in international competitions and presented research at the International Astronautical Congress in Paris. Beyond engineering, Kamila founded Strong Woman, a mentorship initiative that empowers young women in STEM, and she currently serves as Curator (2025–2026) of the World Economic Forum’s Global Shapers Tijuana Hub. At LULAC, she is focused on connecting technology and policy to drive innovation that delivers lasting social impact for Latino and underserved communities.
