Daniec Lozada serves as a Policy and Legislation Fellow at the League of United Latin American Citizens. She obtained her Bachelor's degree in Political Science from Universidad de los Andes in Bogotá, Colombia, and is currently pursuing a Master of Arts in Latin American Studies at Georgetown University. She focuses on political economy and is taking courses related to public policy financing and development. Lozada aspires to become a social researcher and policy analyst to design programs that improve the lives of disadvantaged communities. In this sense, she dreams of being in positions where she can bring change and help transform lives by breaking down discrimination, poverty, and inequality barriers. Her ultimate goal and passion is to contribute to the betterment of society. Therefore, she is particularly enthusiastic about working at LULAC, where she aims to enrich the organization's mission and advocate for the protection of Latino civil rights and their well-being in the United States. Lastly, she has volunteered in non-profit organizations, political parties, and research projects focusing on homelessness, public security, and gender violence. Her most recent internship was at the Asociación Afrodescendiente del Magdalena Medio (AFRODMAM). There, she researched and analyzed public policies affecting Afro-descendants in the Magdalena region, educated people about citizen participation, and organized cultural events to strengthen community ties.
