Julian Cuellar is currently a Policy and Legislation fellow at the League of United Latin American Citizens (LULAC) at their national headquarters in Washington D.C. As a first-generation Latino American, He is very grateful for the opportunity to work for an organization as distinguished as LULAC, for their dedication to improving the lives of everyday Latinos through the creation of inclusive and equitable policies and legislation has captivated his interest in better serving his Latino community locally, and hopefully soon, nationally. To acquaint his background more specifically, Julian is half Mexican with his mom’s side of the family deriving from Zacatecas, and half Colombian with his dad’s side of the family deriving from Tolima. After his high school tenure, which involved broadened participation in diverse extracurricular activities such as ASB, Cross country, Track and Field, Volleyball, and Math & Engineering classes, he continued his academic journey by attending community college where he participated in Model United Nations for two years and served as President of the club soon after.
