Elijah Church serves as a Research and Policy Fellow for the League of United Latin American Countries National Office in Washington, DC. He is a senior at the University of California, Santa Cruz, studying Environmental Studies with a focus on conservation science and policy. He is heavily involved in campus clubs, being president of Santa Monica Community College’s Eco-Action club and continuing his club membership with UC Santa Cruz’s Student Environmental Council and Education for Sustainable Living Program after transferring. After graduating, Elijah hopes to continue his education at law school, where he intends to focus on environmental law. Elijah is passionate about climate issues and how they affect underrepresented communities as the climate crisis continues to worsen.
