Cecilia De Santos Quezada is a Mass Media and Communications Fellow at LULAC’s National Office in Washington, DC. Inspired by LULAC’s fight for equality, which she first learned about at her community college, she became committed to its mission. Cecilia is a third-year student at the University of California, San Diego, studying Political Science with a focus on Race and Ethnicity, and is also pursuing a double major in Latin American Studies with a focus on Mexico.
At UCSD, she has been actively involved in organizations such as the Society of Students in Law (SOHIL), which supports aspiring Latino legal professionals, and Movimiento Estudiantil Chicanx por Activismo (MEChA), a political and cultural student group. As she completes her undergraduate studies, Cecilia is preparing to apply to law school. She is passionate about public service, civil rights, environmental sustainability, and policy development, and is dedicated to driving meaningful change through impactful policy solutions.
