Carlos Julian González

In 2024, Carlos served as a Policy Fellow with the League of United Latin American Citizens (LULAC), where he co-authored Generational Perspectives with Brittney Curiel Moreno, exploring how LULAC’s legacy has shaped the lives of young Latinos across generations. That same year, he was featured in a national Hispanic newspaper, delivered a keynote address at the Latinos Unidos Conference, and was invited to attend Harvard University’s Latin America Conference in Boston.

At UC Berkeley, Carlos served as an ASUC Senator, representing and advocating for the Latine and LGBTQIA+ communities. He is also the founder of the inaugural 2025 Latine Conference, which brought together over 100 Bay Area high school students for mentorship and leadership development alongside Berkeley undergraduates.

Beyond campus, Carlos has held Legislative Fellow roles with both the Berkeley City Council and the California State Assembly, where he worked on advancing education, social welfare, and human rights policy. This fall, he will serve as a Congressional Intern with the Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute (CHCI), placed in his hometown congressional office in Washington, D.C.
