National Voter Registration Day

September 27, 2016

With only a few short weeks away from Election Day, it is now more important than ever that Latinos turn out to the polls and vote. In order for Latinos to achieve record-breaking turnout numbers, we need your help. All of us can play a critical role in shaping this election and making history by helping register eligible voters.

September 27th is National Voter Registration Day (NVRD), and we are calling on our members and allies to help LULAC to register thousands of people nationwide. Since 2012, National Voter Registration Day has celebrated the right to vote and has successfully raised awareness to ensure that thousands of people are registered to vote.

National Voter Registration Day was first started for the 2012 presidential election. It has now become an annual holiday and celebration when thousands of people ensure our family, friends and neighbors are registered to vote.

Here are 5 easy ways you can get involved:
1. Host a voter registration drive in your community or college campus
2. Add a voter registration button on your council website
3. Send an email blast through your council list serve and to your friends and family
4. Promote NVRD on social media
5. Spread the word by getting other Councils to join!

Can we count on your support? Sign-up your council here to be an official NVRD LULAC Partner!

You can register to vote online by visiting www.LULAC.org/Vote or through the Oportunidad App.
