Mariame Diop is a Policy and Research Fellow at LULAC’s National Office in Washington, D.C. Originally from Indianapolis, Indiana, she now resides in Dallas, Texas. A proud member of Boston College’s Class of 2027, Mariame is pursuing a double major in Political Science and International Studies, along with a minor in Religion and American Public Life.
At Boston College, she serves as an undergraduate research fellow in the Political Science Department, an experience that sparked her interest in LULAC’s mission. She is particularly drawn to the organization’s commitment to making complex policy issues accessible to the broader public. Deeply passionate about immigration law, public policy, and social justice, Mariame aspires to become an immigration attorney. She hopes to use her legal education to drive meaningful change and continue advocating for marginalized communities.
