Virgina Kase Solomon

Virginia Kase Solomón is a nationally recognized social justice and civil rights leader with 30 years of experience in advocacy, organizing, and policy. As President and CEO of Common Cause, she is the organization's tenth president, and its first Latina and fourth woman to hold the permanent role. Previously, she served as CEO of the League of Women Voters, where she led significant growth, launched the impactful “No Excuses” voting rights campaign, and expanded membership by 30%. Earlier, she was COO of CASA, a leading immigrant rights group, overseeing operations for nearly 100,000 members.

Virginia began her activism in her 20s, co-founding a youth-led nonprofit in Hartford, CT. Throughout her career, she has focused on building power in marginalized communities and supporting grassroots change. She has testified before Congress, appeared in major outlets like The New York Times and Vogue, and was named one of People en Español’s Most Powerful Women (2020) and Washingtonian’s 500 Most Influential People (2022, 2023)."
