Erik Rivera

Erik Rivera is one of the premier Latinx multi-hyphenates as an actor-writer-director-producer-comedian. Best known for his stand-up comedy specials, which includes HBO Max’s SUPER WHITE, Erik launched his career in the stand-up circuit before making a splash with an appearance on THE TONIGHT SHOW WITH JAY LENO. Since then, Erik has been a tour de force on the stand-up comedy scene with his first 1 hour special I’M NO EXPERT and landed roles on a number of shows including CBS’ SUPERIOR DONUTS and Oxygen’s LIVING WITH FUNNY. In 2019, Erik founded the only all Latinx Comedy Stand-up show with BROWN-ISH, which he hosted monthly at The Laugh Factory on Sunset and now has a new home at The Upstairs Comedy Club in downtown Los Angeles.

Erik previously developed FATHER FIGURES alongside Eugenio Derbez' 3Pas Production with the CW and recently was developing the animated comedy RICKY & CRICKET for Amazon Studios and 3 Arts with Peter Murrieta and Isaac Gonzalez. He also made his directorial debut in 2022 by co-directing Jesus Sepulveda's breakout comedy special, Mr. Tough Life for HBOMax.

Currently, Erik is developing a single-cam comedy, NEIGHBORLY, alongside Anjelah Johnson-Reyes who is also attached to star. He is based in Los Angeles with his wife and two young sons.
