Alan Cruz

Alan Cruz is a first-generation graduate of both the College of Southern Nevada community college and the University of Nevada Las Vegas. Born and raised in Las Vegas, NV, Alan has always been aware of how his identities -- being gay, disabled, and Mexican Indigenous (Zapotec) -- have shaped his worldview. As a result, since his youth, he's been dedicated to advocating for marginalized communities and promoting inclusivity and diversity in the workplace.

As a recent graduate, Alan has made a career pivot now working in digital marketing and social media, and working on launching an up-and-coming Gen Z website "Gen Z Acts" for young people who are ready to level up their career and entrepreneurship, education, and personal growth.

He continues to stay involved in social impact and advocacy through social media organizing and marketing, finding any opportunity to contribute his skills and experiences to help advance the goal of uplifting our communities that deserve to be heard.
