Aracely Panameño
Director of Latino Affairs, Center for Responsible Lending
Aracely Panameño works on financial services issues impacting the financial security and well-being of Latinos and other communities of color. Since 2004, Aracely has helped formulate policy recommendations, legislation, foster stakeholder coalitions, and educate decision makers. Her expertise in financial services is in mortgages, auto, payday lending, and student loans. Located in the Center for Responsible Lending’s D.C. office, Aracely authors occasional blogs for digital media focusing on issues impacting Latinos in financial markets and serves as a spokesperson for CRL. She serves as an advisor and is a member of various expert networks and consumer production work groups, including Insight Center for Community Economic Development’s Experts of Color Network/Closing the Racial Wealth Gap Initiative, Women’s Inflection Point, and Maryland’s Consumer Protection Task Force.
Prior to joining CRL, Aracely worked in Latina women’s health, migrant workers, education, and immigration issues.
