Belia Paz is a dynamic leader and passionate advocate for the Hispanic community in Utah. Currently serving as the Utah State Director for the League of United Latin American Citizens (LULAC), Belia's commitment to community service and empowerment is evident through her numerous roles and accolades.

Belia's journey with LULAC has seen her rise to significant positions, including her appointment as a member of the National Women's Commissioners for LULAC. Her outstanding contributions have not gone unnoticed; she was recognized as one of Utah's '30 Women to Watch' in 2022, honored with the '40 Over 40' award in 2023, and received the Lifetime Achievement Award from Mujeres Unidas de Idaho in 2022. Additionally, she was awarded the Super Hero Hunger Award by Fox in 2023, highlighting her tireless efforts to combat food insecurity.

In addition to her work with LULAC, Belia is the General Manager of two Hispanic radio stations Mi Preferida 104.7fm & La Ley 107.1FM, two Hispanic local community radio stations in Salt Lake City known for its charitable initiatives. She has been instrumental in organizing events such as the Quinceañera of the Year and Wedding of the Year giveaways, and annual community support initiatives providing essential items to families during Thanksgiving and back-to-school seasons.

Belia's nonprofit organization, Mujeres Unidas de Utah, is a testament to her dedication to empowering Hispanic women. This all-volunteer group hosts monthly events that provide free dinners, workshops, clothing, personal hygiene kits, and more to around 300 women each month. Her efforts in this sphere are making significant impacts on the lives of many women, offering support and resources to help them thrive.

Belia's leadership and advocacy have also caught the attention of PBS, which featured her life and work in a documentary that premiered in April 2023. This documentary highlighted her personal story, her dedication to her community, and the transformative work of Mujeres Unidas de Utah.

A notable public speaker, Belia has addressed various audiences, including at the UCASA Denim Day event, where she highlighted the impactful work of Mujeres Unidas de Utah. Her presentations often focus on themes of unity and empowerment, reflecting her belief that 'United We Are More Powerful.'

With a heart for service and a vision for a united, empowered community, Belia Paz continues to inspire and lead with compassion and determination. Her work is not just about serving the community; it's about transforming lives and creating lasting, positive change.
