Alejandra Hernandez

Alejandra Hernandez is a first-generation Mexican American who was raised in the inner city of Chicago, Illinois. She enlisted into the delayed entry program at 17 years old; and shortly after graduating Curie high school in 2004, she left to begin her journey in the Marine Corps. After graduating from Marine Corps Basic Training, she attended the military occupational specialty school of 0161(postal) where she graduated as class leader. Upon graduation, she reported to MLG III in Okinawa, Japan where she was meritoriously promoted to Corporal. In 2006, upon completion of her overseas tour, she reported to CLR 27 Camp Lejeune, NC.

During her time in Camp Lejeune Alejandra was the Non-Commissioned Officer in charge of all postal operations and was meritoriously promoted to the rank of Sergeant. In 2008, she received orders to Marine Barracks 8th & I, where she filled the billet of a Staff Non-Commissioned Officer.

In 2009, Alejandra was selected to guard the platform during the first Inauguration of former President Obama. In addition, she served as a docent to General Conway. As a docent, she worked closely with high profile diplomats and military officials from all over the world and specials guests of the Commandant and his family.

In 2010, she received orders to Parris Island, SC where she would spend the next 3 years training young women to become United States Marines. In 2011, Alejandra served as the 4th Battalion Color Sergeant. After successfully completing her tour as a Drill Instructor, she decided to complete her enlistment and transition to the civilian sector.

Upon completion of her military service, she began taking online classes at the American Military University for Health and Sport Science. Soon after, she decided to change her major to Criminal Justice with a focus on the criminal mind and in 2017 she began working for the Department of Commerce as a Mission support Specialist for the Export Enforcement Division. In 2019 Alejandra graduated from Strayer University, Magna Cum Laude and began her work as a federal investigator.
