Marguerite Garrison
Deputy Inspector General for Administrative Investigations, U.S. Department of Defense
Ms. Marguerite C. Garrison assumed the role of Deputy Inspector General for Administrative Investigations and joined the Senior Executive Service on July 18, 2011. Before taking on this position, she had a distinguished career in the Army, retiring as a Colonel. Notably, she served as the chief of the initiatives group, directly reporting to the Vice Chief of Staff of the Army, where she tackled critical issues of strategy, policy, and future concepts. Throughout her career, she held various key roles, including advising the Assistant Secretary of Defense for Special Operations and Low Intensity Conflict on antiterrorism policy, and commanding positions in locations like Iraq and Germany. Ms. Garrison holds a B.S. degree from St. Bonaventure University, an M.S. degree in administration from Central Michigan University, and an M.S. degree in National Resource Strategy from the Industrial College of the Armed Forces. She is also a proud graduate of the 170th session of the Federal Bureau of Investigation National Academy.
