Olga Cano

Olga is an Architect and Environmental Engineer supporting the Water Sense® Homes Program at the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). She is dedicated to transforming residential water efficiency standards and practices. As the manager of the EPA’s Office of Water Women in Science and Engineering program, Olga is also a fierce advocate for gender equity in the agency and industry.

Her career is a testament to sustainable design and water efficiency, spanning roles in architecture for the hospitality and residential sectors and a stint as a Peace Corps Water & Sanitation Volunteer in Peru. Olga holds a B.A. in Architecture from Florida International University and a master’s in environmental engineering from Michigan Technological University.

Outside the EPA, Olga champions playground accessibility and enjoys life in Washington, DC with her husband and spirited daughters. Originally from Medellin, Colombia, she brings a global perspective and relentless drive to her work.
