Grant Workshop for All Stakeholders: Ensuring Healthy and Sustainable Latino Communities

Latino communities continue to disproportionately bear the brunt of pollution and environmental injustice. Adverse and cumulative health, environmental and quality of life impacts, increased health vulnerabilities and the threat of displacement from climate-related disasters, continue to plague Latino communities. We must all work together, and holistically to reverse this pattern. This session will focus on some of the EPA programs, including those carried out by the Office of Land and Emergency Management (OLEM) that can produce real and sustainable results for Latino communities suffering from land and soil pollution. We will discuss how Latino communities can seize and leverage OLEM grants, technical assistance and other opportunities and truly empower the next generation to lead positive change.
