Dr. Mara López
Center for Broadening Participation in STEM ASU
Dr. Mara Nohemí López is the Associate Director of the Center for Broadening Participation in STEM at ASU. She earned a BA in Psychology from SDSU, an MA in Organizational Leadership from PLNU and her Doctorate in Education from ASU. She has worked in research for over 15 years on NIH, NSF, DoD, and DoE funded grants. Her research is centered on curriculum redesign, career decision-making self-efficacy, equity in education, social justice in education, and culturally responsive pedagogy in STEM. She is also a wife, a mother of two children under 8 years old and a former 3-sport college athlete.
