Juanita Constible, Senior Advocate at the Natural Resources Defense Council

Juanita is a senior advocate at the Natural Resources Defense Council, where she helps advance federal policies to cut carbon pollution and protect communities from the present-day harms of climate disruption. She is particularly focused on ensuring that workers and our public health and healthcare systems are prepared for rising temperatures, sea-level rise, and more extreme weather. Juanita was a coauthor of a 2016 report called Nuestro Futuro: Climate Change and U.S. Latinos and the lead author of a 2020 report titled On the Front Lines: Climate Change Threatens the Health of America’s Workers. Prior to joining NRDC, Juanita oversaw the science and solutions department at the Climate Reality Project and later served as an adviser to the Climate Action Campaign. She holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in biology from the University of Victoria in Canada, and a climate change and health certificate from the Yale School of Public Health.
