2024 Election Protection

This election season, our Latino community faces a wave of misinformation aimed at discouraging us from voting. False claims are rampant, especially on social media and Spanish-language outlets, and they’re spreading through websites, WhatsApp groups, and robocalls. As we prepare for Election Day on Tuesday, November 5th, it’s essential to stay vigilant against these tactics. We have Election Protection resources available to combat this form of voter suppression and protect our community’s right to vote.

How to Spot and Stop Misinformation:

  • Consider the Source: Verify if the information is from a trusted organization and cross-check with credible sources.
  • Call 866-OUR-VOTE: Connect with trained attorney volunteers for reliable assistance, or visit 866ourvote.org for trustworthy information.
  • Recursos en Español: Llame al 888-VE-Y-VOTA (888-839-8682) para hablar con abogados voluntarios capacitados.
  • Spread the Word: Share the Election Protection Hotline (866-OUR-VOTE or 888-VE-Y-VOTA) with your community to help ensure access to accurate voting information for all.
