Elida Martinez
LULAC Vice President for Young Adults

Elida J. Martinez, M.Ed. (She/Her/Ella) currently serves as the National Vice President for Young Adults at LULAC, where she empowers and supports young Latinos across the country. She is a dedicated higher education professional with a strong focus on student engagement, recruitment, and community outreach, working to ensure that young Latinos have the resources and opportunities needed to succeed academically and professionally.
In her role as Assistant Director at the University of North Texas at Dallas (UNTD), Elida leads recruitment efforts for early college high school graduates, working closely with local community colleges and public schools. She also plays a key role in the university's GTF Grant Partnership, which focuses on increasing college enrollment and retention. Previously, Elida served as Program Manager for Student Engagement at UNT Dallas, where she built partnerships with key stakeholders and managed recruitment goals.
Elida holds a Master of Education in Educational Administration with a concentration in Higher Education Leadership from Tarleton State University, graduating Magna Cum Laude. She also earned a Bachelor's degree in Organizational Behavior and Human Resources from the University of North Texas at Dallas. Her personal experiences as a first-generation college graduate fuel her passion for providing mentorship and breaking down barriers for Latino students pursuing higher education.
