Dr. Melissa L. Pluguez-Moldavskiy

Dr. Pluguez-Moldavskiy obtained her degree as a Doctor of Nursing Practice specializing as a Family Nurse Practitioner in 2018. Followed by her Board Certification as an Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner in 2019. Dr. Pluguez-Moldavskiy has worked in a variety of clinical settings during her 21 years of practice, and has provided treatment to communities that lack access to large medical centers in Puerto Rico. She has focused her training in the emergency care setting.

Now at Cooper University Health Care, Dr. Pluguez-Moldavskiy is proud to provide socially sensitive care to the population of Camden both in Hospital Medicine and Critical Care Medicine. Camden is a city in great need of understanding and representation of its Latinx/Hispanic community among its healthcare providers.

She is a member of the Sigma Theta Tau International and Delta Epsilon Sigma, She currently sits on the steering committee for Stop The Bleed at Cooper University Health, as well as a lead in the Hospital Medicine Procedural Program, teaching others Ultrasound skills to benefit and continually advance the practice of healthcare.

She is dedicated to the mission of the National Association of Hispanic Nurses to “improve the health and well-being of individuals, groups, and communities by the use of action based, culturally sensitive, evidence based nursing practices”. Dr. Pluguez-Moldavskiy is an active member of the NAHN- Philadelphia chapter. Her greatest passion is being a wife to Dr. Moldavskiy DO, and a mother to two wonderful children, Jordan and Sasha, self-described future leaders, ages 7 and 5.
