Salud para Todos: Free Health Screenings
The health screenings offered on Saturday, September 21, will be immensely valuable to attendees given the pronounced health disparities among Latinos in San Antonio. With nearly 27% of Latinos in the San Antonio area lacking health insurance and high rates of obesity, diabetes, and heart disease prevalent in our community, these screenings provide an important opportunity for early detection and management of these conditions. Additionally, with significant gaps in access to vision care and higher incidences of hypertension, this event will offer essential health services and education that are otherwise hard to come by. Addressing these pressing health challenges through accessible screenings can make a real difference in improving health outcomes and bridging gaps in care for our community.
