YOUTH CONVENTION

Latinos are the fastest-growing population in the United States, and no group reflects that rise more powerfully than our youth. Latino teenagers—ages 13.5 to 19—are stepping up in a nation that too often sidelines their voices. In 2025, they face mounting challenges: deepening health disparities, education funding shortfalls, immigration pressures, and shrinking access to civic life. And yet—these teens are rising with clarity, courage, and conviction.

That’s why LULAC invests in them early. The LULAC Youth Councils—distinct from our college-level LULAC Collegiate Councils—are built for teens between the ages of 13.5 and 19. Spread across the United States and Puerto Rico, these councils are built on effective mentorship, civic education, and leadership development. This is where identity is forged, values take hold, and the next generation of Latino leaders begins to rise.

And in 2025, those leaders step into the spotlight. The LULAC Youth Convention shines a national light on the urgent challenges Latino teens face today. They’re not waiting for permission to lead—they already are. They’re organizing, advocating, and reshaping the conversation.

Take a look at the program below and see what real leadership in action looks like.
