Ruben Barrales

Ruben Barrales represents Wells Fargo and helps to increase diversity in the company, support diverse suppliers, and serve diverse customers and communities.

Barrales joined Wells Fargo after serving as president & CEO of the San Diego Regional Chamber of Commerce and Joint Venture: Silicon Valley Network. He also ran an organization focused on increasing the number of Latinos in state and local government offices.

Prior, Barrales served in the White House as Deputy Assistant to the President of the United States and Director of Intergovernmental Affairs for President George W. Bush.

Barrales was the first Latino to be elected, and to serve as president, on the San Mateo County (California) Board of Supervisors.

Barrales was recognized as one of the “100 Most Influential Hispanics” in the United States by Hispanic Business Magazine, and he was honored with the “Ohtli Award” from the Government of Mexico for his commitment to improving the well-being of Hispanics in the United States. He was honored by LULAC with the Legislative Award in 2004.

Barrales serves on the Board of Directors of the US Hispanic Chamber of Commerce Educational Fund, and the National Association of Latino Elected and Appointed Officials (NALEO) Educational Fund.
