The success of LULAC has always been a direct result of the commitment and involvement of individuals across the United States and Puerto Rico who are working to improve the lives of those around them. Our network of LULAC council members and volunteers are central in helping us advance the economic condition, educational attainment, political influence, housing, health and civil rights of the Hispanic population of the United States.

Volunteer with the National Programs Department

LULAC provides robust programming opportunities to Latino communities to help reduce the economic and educational disparities that are all too prevalent in our communities. Our diverse portfolio encompasses programs centered around technological skill development, STEAM-field exposure and careers, entrepreneurship, educational and college readiness, healthy living, youth empowerment, professional development and leadership.

Volunteer with LULAC’s Programs Department for opportunities such as being a tutor, mentor, keynote speaker, or workshop facilitator. As of August 2020, please note that current volunteer opportunities are available for remote events only.

Volunteer with the National Events Department

Spring

Emerge is a multi-day leadership conference for Latinos in the United States located in Washington D.C. It brings together a diverse group of college students and young professional Latinos from across the country to provide them with public policy briefings on health, education, and immigration.

The LULAC National State of Latino America Summit and National Legislative Awards Gala is a one day conference and dinner which highlights critical legislative issues affecting Hispanic Americans and recognizes key leaders who have served the Hispanic community well. 

WeRun is a one day conference where we empower, provide the tools, and help young Latinos and communities of color launch their political career.

Women’s Conference is a two-day conference that will focus on the political and social challenges that affect women all throughout the nation. It will also highlight Latinas’ accomplishments in public service and will feature personal stories of women who have overcome adversity. This conference gathers distinguished leaders and issue experts to lead plenaries on women’s empowerment, leadership, health, and mobilization within the workforce.

Summer

As the premier Hispanic convention, the LULAC National Convention and Exposition draws over 15,000 participants from across the country each year including top leaders from the government, business, and the Latino community.  Volunteer opportunities range from setup and teardown to registration, IT, workshop assistants, VIP escorts and runners.

Fall

Latinos Living Healthy Feria de Salud is an annual health fair that draws nearly 10,000 people each year. It motivates families to become physically active and make healthier life choices in an effort to fight the obesity epidemic and address other health disparities faced by Latinos nationwide.

Our network of over 1,000 LULAC Councils across the U.S. and Puerto Rico is making a difference through volunteer programs that address the needs of the Latino community. This nationwide network of community activists works proudly to protect our civil rights in the areas of immigration, social services, education, and economic opportunity.
