Join LULAC in protecting and defending our democracy!

I will keep this short. We are less than 24 hours away from polls opening across the country. This year, we are seeing a wave of voter suppression that is unprecedented since the civil rights movement. Democracy in America hangs in the balance.

The most important thing I wish to ask of you: VOTE. It's important that we vote for a better future. A future that includes the very core of who we are as a nation: sharing in our humanity and ability to understand each other. This is a very important election and we ask you to reach out to at least 10 friends, family, neighbors and ask that they join you in voting! Once you vote, remember to share it on social media and use #IAMLULAC, #VotingMatters.

As an organization, we are gearing up to protect and defend our communities right to vote across the country. We have seen unprecedented voter suppression including in Dodge City, Kansas. A city that has recently seen a shift in demographics with over 60% of the population being of Latino origin and where the only polling location that serves 13,000 voters was shifted outside of the city line. To see the complete report please watch this clip from the Rachel Maddow show.

We are seeing voter suppression not only in Kansas, but also in Georgia and Texas. Would you please join LULAC in protecting our democracy and contribute as we provide rides to the polls in Dodge City, get out the vote across the country, and host a bilingual hotline out of our LULAC National Office in Washington DC? We cannot accomplish our mission without your support.

My friends, each one of us can build the future we seek to see through our actions and through voting. We know that together, united, we can make a difference. Se audaz, vota! Y Hasta La Cima!

Together We Rise,

Sindy Benavides
