Washington, D.C. – Last night, Wednesday, February 13, Congressman Marc Veasey attended LULAC's 16th Annual Awards Gala in Washington, D.C. Earlier this week, Congressman Veasey invited DREAMer Julieta Garibay to the President's State of the Union Address. The Congressman is also an original co-sponsor of the DREAM Act and the Reuniting Families Act in the 113th Congress.

LULAC's civic engagement, advocacy and programs are part of the reason why the Latino community has become such a powerful force in our country today. With over 900 local LULAC Councils and 31 Councils in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex, I'm grateful to LULAC for their contributions to the 33rd Congressional District."
