Washington, DC - Throughout Hispanic Heritage Month (September 15 - October 15) LULAC is partnering with the cable television industry to pay tribute to the powerful and positive influence of Hispanics in America by shining a spotlight on compelling Hispanic-themed programming and movies.

“We are thrilled to partner with the cable industry and provide the opportunity of learning more about the history and struggles of our community. So many times, the images of Latinos featured in television programs are not positive and this partnership provides a wonderful opportunity for viewers to watch compelling stories that tell the history and celebrate the many contributions Lati-nos have made to the fabric of our nation,” said Margaret Moran, LULAC National President.

During Hispanic Heritage Month, viewers wanting to explore the cross-section of On Demand programming being offered can visit The programs run the spectrum from biographies of influential Hispanics and Latinos who have triumphed in the entertainment industry; their struggles during the civil rights movement, and the many culinary contributions Hispanics have made to influence a diverse nation.

LULAC is the largest Latino civil rights and advocacy group in the Unites States. LULAC works to improve opportunities for Hispanic Americans from every region looking for freedom and an honest way of life. For more information, visit
