Last night, the 87th Annual LULAC National Convention hosted a free concert with A.B. Quintanilla, Gilberto Santa Rosa and Jason Cerda at the Washington Hilton as a rally cry to encourage civic participation.
The 87th Annual LULAC Convention opened its doors to a free Expo today at the Washington Hilton. Leading up to the general election, an estimated 20,000 people, including representatives from more than 1,000 LULAC councils across the U.S. and Puerto Rico, will gather to advocate for civil rights, education, economic opportunity, immigration reform and equal opportunity.
Today in U.S v. Texas, an equally divided U.S. Supreme Court left in place an appeals court ruling blocking the implementation of President Obama’s expanded executive action programs that would have granted over 4 million people work authorization and temporary relief from deportation.
