LULAC Mobilizes To Help
Victims of Texas ICE Raid
Nation’s Largest and Oldest Latino Civil Rights Organization Provides Free Legal Assistance & Support to Affected Families
Washington, DC - The League of United Latin American Citizens (LULAC), is working non-stop to help undocumented workers, many of them Latino, arrested early Wednesday in one of the largest raids by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), this time targeting a technology plant in Allen, Texas located 25 miles north of Dallas.
“These terror raids by ICE on a plant with a workforce of mainly women, is tragic and unnecessary .. Mothers were separated from there children, husbands and parents ” said Domingo Garcia, National President. “All they were doing when ICE agents swooped down on them with guns and badges was standing at assembly lines working on making cell phones . This is a symptom of a broken immigration system and why we need comprehensive immigration reform now” he added.
Sign the Petition and Tell Congress: No Human is Illegal. It's time for Congress to pass Immigration reform once for all. It's time for this administration to stop targeting Latino immigrants indiscriminately.

In all, 280 people have been detained and they were taken into custody then placed into several large buses that were seen parked at the back of the building. The company listed for the address is CVE Technology Group, which works on refurbishing and repairing electronics. Allen is a high-tech hub community located along Interstate 75, a major North-South business corridor. ICE issued a statement saying the men and women arrested were in the country without documents but would offer no further details.
“What’s most tragic about this action by ICE is that’s just the politics of the absurd for them ,but it does incredible harm to the families of these hardworking employees,” said Garcia. “Many of them have spouses and children alone at home who don’t know what to do." Right now, our focus is on providing support and legal assistance with volunteer lawyers so we have set-up an emergency resource center at United Methodist Church Allen, 601 S Greenville Ave, Allen, TX 75002. LULAC is asking anyone who can to please help to contact. Delma at 214 -941-8300 or Delma@dgley.com
