Description

Rep. Bernie Sanders, (D-VT), Rep. Tulsi Gabbard (D-HI), Beto O'Rourke – Former United States Representative (D-TX), and Julian Castro – Former Mayor of San Antonio and Secretary of Housing and Urban Development.

In an effort to boost turnout in 2020 for both the Iowa Caucuses and general election, LULAC has made voter registration a top priority and is working diligently to identify and register Hispanic voters across the state for the next 4 months, employing paid staff and volunteers, coordinating efforts with its 18 local councils in the state.

LULAC has worked in coalition with other nonprofit groups to more than double the number of registered Latino voters in Iowa over the past 15 years, from 23,000 to 53,000 which led to a significant turnout during the 2016 Iowa Caucuses.
