Nation’s Oldest & Largest Hispanic Civil Rights Organization to Lead a Rally of More Than 1,000 People with Civil Rights & Religious Community Leaders Following Domestic Terrorist Attacks

El Paso, TX – On Saturday, August 10th at 8:30am MT, the League of United Latin American Citizens (LULAC) will hold a march and rally called “March for a United America” in response to the mass shootings in El Paso.

The march in El Paso will begin at Armijo Park (710 E 7th Ave.) and end at the County Courthouse (500 E San Antonio) The event will be followed by a rally and press conference featuring diverse religious and civil rights leaders, as well as members of the community coming in buses from different states. Details regarding confirmed guest speakers are forthcoming.

LULAC has called the shooting a domestic terrorist attack against Latinos and has blamed President Trump for deliberately feeding into the anti-immigrant frenzy and white supremacist violence. LULAC National President, Domingo Garcia, will lead the march and rally along with religious and civil rights leaders demanding stricter gun regulations and an end to the dangerous racist rhetoric that motivated a mass shooting leading to the death of 22 people in El Paso.
