Resolution on Soccer Leagues

WHEREAS, 84 years ago, the founders of the League of Latin American Citizens, (LULAC) joined together to establish an organization that would become the largest, oldest and successful Hispanic civil rights and service organization in the United States, and

WHEREAS, in California today, the Latino Community is growing rapidly and with it, the popularity of soccer as the fastest growing youth sports activity , and

WHEREAS, cities in California have the duty and responsibility to embrace youth Soccer Latino Leagues and be willing to seek ways to ensure they have access to fields and facilities , and

THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, California LULAC will work with Latino Soccer Leagues and support them in seeking the active support of City and County governments to provide them fair, equal, and lawful access to public fields and facilities , and

BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED, that California LULAC shall actively work to partner with Latino Soccer Leagues to embrace the community and actively work to form new LULAC councils
