As states move forward with the implementation of new academic standards, LULAC applauds the work of Univision in taking the lead to produce and broadcast educational material aimed at informing and empowering the Latino community. See more here.

Univision’s latest work, Entérate y Gana – Edición: Padres y Maestros, is the most recent example of the network’s efforts.

The program focused on the importance of parents establishing a relationship with their child’s teachers and counselors, working together in support of their education.

Parent and teachers were paired from the audience at a high school gym (pep-rally environment), to play a game; they played against the clock, not each other. The show was hosted by Carlos Calderon. Kids cheered for their parent/teacher pair from the “sidelines”, accompanied by co-host talent Rosina Grosso from Sabado Gigante. The co-host consulted with experts in the audience throughout the show to offer advice and feedback on the different games.

Viewers were sent to Univision.com/educacion to get additional information on how parents can create a relationship with teachers and counselors in benefit of their children and learn of the upcoming parent online academy tool that were available for Univision's Education Week that took place in October 2014.
