Luis Villa-Guzman

Luis Villa-Guzman is a Research and Policy Fellow at the LULAC national office in Washington, D.C. for Spring 2026. He was born and raised in Riverside and is completing his undergraduate studies at the University of California, Riverside, where he majors in Political Science with a concentration in Law and Society. He has built his experience through direct engagement in public service, including work with City Hall, Moot Court, Model United Nations, and as an undergraduate research apprentice. These roles have sharpened his focus on public accountability, civic participation, and fair representation for communities that are often left out.

As a first-generation college student, his work centers on immigration, voting rights, and housing access. At LULAC, he has focused on federal regulatory work and state-level resource guides tied to immigrant protection, housing stability, and legal rights. His background in an immigrant household informs his path forward. He plans to attend law school and pursue a career grounded in civil liberties and equal representation for all residents of the U.S.
