Stephanie Sanchez Toscano is a Research and Policy Fellow at the LULAC national office in Washington, D.C. for Spring 2026. She is originally from Hawthorne, California, and is attending the University of California, Santa Cruz (UCSC), where she is double-majoring in Legal Studies and Critical Race and Ethnic Studies. At UCSC, she has been involved in multiple spaces where she advocated for a more accessible and equitable education for students in UCSC. Through her previous involvement in Student Government, Movimiento Estudiantil Chicane de Aztlán (MEChA), and as a student retention coordinator for Engaging Education, she has been able to create change on her campus and represent student needs. She is passionate about social justice and ensuring that Latinos are represented in all spaces. As a child of immigrants, she is interested in attending law school with the internet to represent marginalized communities and create immigration policy reform.
